Oh man! I finished my phonemic awareness lesson with one of my students (we made a train). Now I just need to work with the other, which I’m going to do tomorrow. I’m contemplating cutting out the pieces for the train since it seems like it would be a lot easier for me to do it than it would be for the students (lack of motor control). Last night Cherri and I decided that we would read Grimm’s Fairy Tales. I read a story aloud, and then she reads one aloud (we read several stories a night and we get a break for a little while the other is reading). And we want to do this every night until we finish it. I feel a lot more confident about it now; I just need to get confirmation on what standards I need to use (Arizona or California). WAH! Today is my gauntlet to get as much as done as humanly possible. Three projects in week one seems ridiculous. But I’ll get it done. I can’t do one of them until Monday at the earliest.
